About the team

You'll be joining our growth team that focuses on building authentic connections with individuals navigating complex immigration journeys. We're a tight-knit group of 8-12 people who believe in the power of human connection and community-building to help people find the legal support they need. The team collaborates closely with sales, product, and customer success to create seamless experiences that genuinely serve our audience.

Ideal experience

You bring 5-7 years of B2C events experience with a proven track record of building programs that drive measurable business outcomes, not just engagement metrics. Your background likely includes working with sensitive or complex service categories—whether that's financial services, healthcare, legal services, or other high-consideration purchases where trust and credibility matter immensely. You've managed everything from intimate roundtables to large-scale conferences, and you understand how different event formats serve different strategic objectives. You're comfortable with budget ownership, vendor management, and cross-functional collaboration with sales and marketing teams. Most importantly, you have experience working with diverse, multicultural audiences and understand the nuances of building authentic connections with communities that may have varying levels of trust in institutions.

About the role

This role exists because we've reached a critical inflection point where our in-person presence needs to evolve from ad-hoc participation to strategic, scalable programming. You'll be architecting our entire events strategy from the ground up, determining where we show up, how we show up, and what success looks like at each touchpoint. This isn't just event coordination—it's about creating moments that genuinely help people while building a sustainable acquisition channel that drives meaningful ROI. Success means establishing a repeatable playbook that generates high-quality leads, builds brand credibility in the immigration community, and creates lasting relationships with both potential clients and referral partners. You'll own the P&L for events, manage vendor relationships, and be the strategic voice that helps leadership decide which opportunities are worth our investment versus which ones we should pass on.

You genuinely care about the people you're serving and understand that events in this space require cultural sensitivity, patience, and authentic relationship-building rather than aggressive sales tactics. You're naturally curious about different communities and comfortable navigating complex, often emotional conversations about legal services. You love the puzzle of balancing multiple priorities—managing budgets, coordinating logistics, measuring performance—while never losing sight of the human element that makes events successful.

Not for you if

If you prefer highly structured environments with established processes and clear playbooks, this role will frustrate you. We're not looking for someone who views events as just another marketing channel or who approaches community engagement with a transactional mindset. If you're uncomfortable with ambiguity, need constant direction, or struggle to balance empathy with business objectives, you won't thrive here. This also isn't the right fit if you're looking for a role focused solely on logistics and execution without strategic input and ownership.
